World Teachers’ Day – Salute to all the Teachers | #ThankYouTeachers

Spread the love

A person’s life is molded by many factors, aside from the values that we get from our parents, families and friends; we are also molded by our teachers. Almost half of our lives were spent in schools and the most influential and life-changing role models are the teachers.

Teachers are the second parents of our children; they are not just there to help our kids enrich academically. They are trained to provide what we, parents, cannot sometimes give to our children. They extend selfless love and care for their students. It is not just lesson plans, grades, projects or school activities, it is teaching their students use their knowledge and integrate it to their daily lives. Despite every effort they exert, they are oftentimes misunderstood, taken for granted and worst, least appreciated. But these things do not matter to them, they always aim to reach out to their students and impart the knowledge they have.

Yesterday, October 5, 2017, people showed how important teachers are by celebrating a day to thank all the teachers in the world. #ThankYouTeachers & #WorldTeachersDay were trending on social media. Photos of teachers with various gifts were all over my facebook news feed. Even my kids yesterday, were so excited to get up and go to school to prepare a surprise for their teachers, they actually asked me to wake them up at 4am. It feels great to see your kids happy to go to school and inspired to learn because of their teachers. It is a proof that the teachers are not just doing their job they are making an impact to the lives of their students.

To all the teachers in the world, we salute you! Thank you for making your best effort to inculcate values and life lessons to your students. We may not always acknowledge everything that you do, but we are all aware how hard it is to be like you. So continue to teach and change lives.

Let us all recognize and appreciate the teachers around us!

“To touch the hearts of your students is the greatest miracle you can perform.”

– St. La Salle
